Slammeurs Fédérateurs

Echoes of the Great Lakes

Slam by Steven MUHINDO

What would I be without you?

Without you, without them!

Isn't it a house without a roof,

A cracked ground beneath our feet?

A ship without a sail on Lake Kivu,

A drum without a rhythm under the moon of yesteryear in Bujumbura?

What would you be without me, without him, without us?

Isn't it a river without its source,

A tom-tom without an echo, a flame without breath,

A field without seeds, a coffee without fragrance?

A road without a compass, wandering in the night?

This clip is brought to you as part of the Slameurs fédérateurs Program, run by the NGO La Benevolencija.
