The LIGHT Project: shedding Light on Unconscious Bias and Invisible Racism
Until the end of October 2025, RLB will be involved in the Erasmus+ project called LIGHT. This collaborative project brings together organisations from five European countries: France (LICRA), Greece (KMOP) , Italy (CSC Danilo Dolci), Poland (CWEP) and the Netherlands and is funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ program. Our goal? To increase the capacity of youth work to recognize and respond effectively to unconscious bias and invisible racism in order to promote inclusivity in EU society.
Unconscious biases fuel discrimination, shaping young people’s actions and fostering invisible racism. It is therefore crucial for youth to recognize these biases in order to combat discrimination.
The LIGHT project specifically aims to:
- Develop youth work tools to shed light on these phenomena.
- Enhance the capacity of youth workers to address these issues effectively.
- Promote anti-bias literacy and trade union values.
- Empower young people to recognise, challenge and respond to prejudice.
The project activities will include workshops, focus groups, capacity-building cycles, and youth activities to raise awareness and build capacity among young people themselves. We’re committed to creating tangible outcomes that make a real difference in the EU society.
